Parent/Tot Class

Parent/Tot will be back for the month of June! We ask that parents try to come in 10 minutes before class so that we are in the water by the scheduled time. 

Time: 9:45 AM - 10:45 AM

For children between the ages of 6 months and approximately 4 years, and their parents. The purpose of the course is to familiarize children with the water and teach swimming readiness skills. In addition provides safety information for parents and teaches parents techniques they can use to help orient their children to the water.

Admission: $7.00 (1 Child & 1 Adult)

  1. The Taos Aquatic Center is an excellent facility for lap swimming, recreational swimming, exercise classes, swim meets, and various other activities.
  2.  The Main Pool is a 25-yard pool with eight lap lanes. Additionally, there is a large yellow slide on the west side of the pool, which is available during Recreation Swim.
  3.  We also have a Therapy Pool, where you can warm up, stretch, or exercise. This pool has a depth ranging from 4 to 5 feet and is maintained at a warm temperature of about 98 degrees. 
  4. For our younger swimmers, we offer a Kiddie Pool, which is kept at a comfortable 92 degrees and features two mushroom water fountains. The depth in this pool ranges from 6 inches to 2 feet, making it perfect for little ones! 
  5. The Taos Aquatic Center also includes an outdoor patio equipped with lounge chairs and picnic tables.
  6. Both the Main Pool and the Therapy Pool are handicap accessible via chair lifts, and our pool staff is happy to assist with the lifts or stairs as needed. 
  7. This facility is a fantastic option for birthday parties, which can be held up the hall at Taos Youth and Family Center party rooms.
