Join the Taos County Cooperative Weed Management Area (CWMA) and Taos Soil & Water Conservation District (SWCD) for a free noxious and invasive species lecture and tour featuring Dr. Richard Lee (Integrated Pest Management Specialist for BLM) and Dr. Leslie Beck (Extension Weed Specialist at NMSU). Attendees will learn how to identify and mechanically control noxious weeds & other invasive plants found in a wide range of habitats including backyards, forests, gardens, fields, roadside areas, and along waterways. Bring a sample of an invasive plant for assistance with identifying and/or controlling it! After a morning lecture and a free lunch (grilled up by Rio Grande Ace Hardware), attendees can enjoy an afternoon educational tour of problematic noxious weed areas around Taos.
