Parking meter rates in Taos are 0.50 cents per hour with a time limit of four hours. Nickels, dimes and quarters may be used to add time. A ten minute grace period follows the elapsed time. Parking citation fees are $20. The Town ensures that more than 600 free parking spaces in the downtown area are available in the following nearby parking lots Town Hall, Couse lot, Taos Community Auditorium, and Kit Carson Park.
